Media Lab Administrator

Within this role, I oversee the MCC MediaLab as part of the Operations team in NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication, working to provide technical tools that support students and media scholars in their digital, critical media studies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring MediaLab compliance with regulatory protocols
  • Managing the MediaLab’s equipment inventory.
  • Coordinating logistics, scheduling, and planning for various department events and workshops.
  • Collaborating with Steinhardt IT for technology needs, focusing on equipment safety and integrity.
  • Conducting creative technology workshops for students and providing project consultation.
  • Delivering training sessions to faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Overseeing budget and making recommendations for enhancing departmental technology infrastructure.

Adjunct Professor
NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication
2021 – Present

Work in NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication to teach five practice-based digital media courses every year to undergraduate students.

Lab Coordinator

2021 – 2023

As the Lab Coordinator, I was tasked with coordinating the function of the MCC MediaLab to improve NYU’s digital media literacy.

My responsibilities included:

  • Coordinated the logistics and operations of the MCC MediaLab’s staff, projects, events, social media, and communications.
  • Organized approximately 100 workshops in web coding, Adobe software, and digital project implementation per year.
  • Supported the development of new initiatives to improve digital media literacy in New York University.
  • Assisted with managing the MediaLab’s equipment program and inventory.

Visiting Assistant Professor
NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication
2022 – 2023

As a Visiting Assistant Professor at NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication, I was dedicated to nurturing creative growth in undergraduates through practice-based digital media instruction. I designed immersive courses, offer mentorship, and contribute to the collaborative spirit of the department, all while exploring innovative trends in the media landscape.

Responsibilities included:

  • Instructed three digital media and technology courses per semester for undergraduate students in NYU’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication
  • Developed syllabi for practice-based courses that merge media theory with hands-on technical experience

Media Producer and Co-Project Coordinator
Sustainable Subsea Networks
2021 – 2023

Acted as the Project Coordinator to help research the average carbon footprint of a cable station and what climate solutions might help to mitigate this footprint.

My responsibilities included:

  • Managed project logistics to research the decarbonization of the global subsea cable network.
  • Coordinated finances, grant proposals, communications, meetings, and research data.
  • Assisted with grant proposals, research, publications, and other public outputs.

Teaching Fellow
GEC Academy
2020 – 2022

In this position, I assisted with developing seven-week long practice-based media themed educational programs, including project design, lecture content, and workshops. This also included the following:

  • Conducted weekly sessions to cover topics in media theory, critical analysis, and practice-based subjects in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Reviewed students’ assignments and projects.

NYU Scholar | The X Practice
Weber Shandwick
2019 – 2021

As an NYU Scholar at Weber Shandwick, I assisted in daily administrative tasks with X Practice, a client-engagement practice engaged in technological and digital solutions.

Responsibilities included:

  • Researched external DEI initiatives and actions taken by clients, including Facebook, Pernod-Ricard, GSK, and Under Armour
  • Researched emerging technologies and implement them into developing software and hardware prototypes
  • Developed digital content, websites, and applications for clients like Enel X, Olympus, the American Pecan Council, and Mars
  • Organized events with One Weber for diversity and inclusiveness
